The Star Bar had a stack of flyers still leftover for the Monday night premiere party show featuring The Kominas, Al Thawra and Filmstrip and the doors opened in a couple of hours. We’d have to flyer punk rock style. We didn’t have any tape, and there were only a couple of places on Main Street where Sundance folks were legally allowed to flyer. Imran and I went into a knick knack store and asked if we could a length of tape. For the next half hour we stuck flyers up everywhere, and handed the flyer to anyone that looked like they may remotely be interested in Muslim punk show. We found out later that the guys in Filmstrip had been doing exactly the same thing earlier in the day. They had handed a flyer to Elijah Woods. We had handed a flyer to Aamir Khan earlier in the day. Neither showed that night. But that’s okay.
